Today the show was to be early at three in the afternoon, which was pretty standard for this regional tour. When we got to the venue, the boys went out to practice, and Josh decided to throw a double back flip on a trike! He didn’t tell anyone and just went for it, and came inches to landing it! It was SO close! Everyone was stoked, and naturally competition began to arise in the Godfrey family. The boys saw how close Josh got and wanted to be the first to land it. It was a full-blown competition! Gavin came close as well. The competition ended quickly when Josh walked away with a concussion and Gavin had a fall that looked like he broke his back or arm! Yikes! After practice I had to run get ready for my Carlton section tonight so I didn’t get to stay and see if Josh was doing alright. I thought for sure he wouldn’t ride, but to my surprise I saw him in the first train.. Bad move. He rode the first half and stayed out the second, thank heavens! The show ran on smoothly and my competition winners LOVED it! Once we arrived back in the hotel we both thought it would be better to sit this after party out and catch up on some rest and healing. I have one tough husband!
