Today the boys were called to do some filming, which involved learning the art of Kendo. Kendo is a Japanese form of fencing with two-handed bamboo swords, originally developed as a safe form of sword training for samurai. We spent the afternoon with a Japanese Kendo specialist, who taught the boys to fight. It was a surprisingly sacred opportunity. After a successful day, we ended with a traditional bento box for lunch… SO GOOD!
