Stavanger, Norway

Stavanger, Norway is breathtaking. It is safe to say I am obsessed with this place!! We woke up early and left the cruise ship to go explore the city! Our first stop was Sverd i fjell which is more commonly known as the swords in the rock. It was incredible to see up close! The swords were massive and the waters next to it were so calm and beautiful. We walked out to the very end of the rocky path and were amazed by all of the jellyfish surrounding the stones, it was so peaceful and majestic to be in such a beautiful place with so much history. Our next stop on our tour of Stavanger was Ustein Monastery, which is where many monks spent their lives in the early days. It had a breathtaking view and was surrounded by hills and fields of green. After the Monastery, we passed the Ledaal Mansion on the way to the main city. The house was exactly how I imagined a Norwegian mansion to be, beautiful. We found ourselves walking around in Old Stavanger, which was filled with white houses lining the ocean. The cobble steps and the endless amounts of flower pots are what I miss most. We could not leave the city without visiting the famous Stavanger Cathedral, which was in the heart of the city. To end the day, we took a helicopter ride around the massive fjords and were able to visit Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and Lysefjord …. INCREDIBLE!! I have never seen something more perfect and breathtaking in my life! Norway has easily made its way to the most incredible things I’ve seen in my life list!
