Polynesian Cultural Center

Oahu, HI // Day #5

Today started with an early surf session and breakfast on the beach in front of our home.. It was nice to wake up to the ocean water and salty air.. We headed to Laie for lunch at the 7 brothers, and indulged in some of their yummy burgers [Cowboy and the Teri] before heading off the the PCC (Polynesian Cultural Center.) My grandparents had served a mission at the PCC some years before and we had visited them, so it was nice to go back and see how it has changed in the last 13 years [wow I’m getting old!] I loved exploring the different “Islands” and taking a canoe ride on the waters… We got tribal tattoos and Josh got called on to do some Tongan dancing which was pretty hilarious!! After our explorations we headed off for dinner, which was a Hawaiian Luau!! The food was delicious and there was a show while we ate! To finish off the night we experienced the Breath of Air Polynesian Dancer show [better known as HA.] It was a great day spent learning of and experiencing different cultures! I even know how to make coconut oil now! :)
