Once we got settled in our hotel room here in Belgium, I couldn’t wait any longer. I wanted to go get a Belgium waffle!! Josh and I wrapped up in warm clothing and took to the streets. We looked everywhere for a place serving waffles, but everything was closed! I guess the fact that we didn’t get settled in until around 9 didn’t help too much. We walked and explored forever when we finally came to an Irish pub that happened to be serving Belgium waffles! Success! We realized it was really a Belgium restaurant at the back end of this Irish pub and couldn’t be more thrilled! We ordered a truly Belgium meal, waffles and a Belgium breakfast! It was delicious!
Walking back to our hotel after our yummy dinner, we stopped at a convenient store to grab some cough drops for Josh cause his throat was killing him and we ran into something that made me laugh! A section dedicated just for waffles! Waffles individually packed, waffles in a pairs, waffles with chocolate, waffles with strawberry sauce, waffles with powdered sugar, whatever you wanted they put with a waffle! I thought it was such a Belgium cliché! Such a perfect end to a wonderful day!
