Christchurch, New Zealand
Our second stop on the tour is Christchurch. For those of you who aren’t aware, Christchurch, New Zealand is still recovering from an earthquake that struck two years ago. When we arrived there were many buildings undergoing construction and houses left crumbled upon hillsides. We had some free time so a bunch of us took one of the show vans to go explore the city. One of the sponsors had a house on the beach so we ventured over. His beach house was in the most beautiful cove; the only problem was that it was high on a Cliffside. To get to the beach you had to hike down a million and a half stairs, literally staircase after staircase and winding jungle trails! When we reached the ocean water, it was definitely worth the walk! The sun was setting and the sunset was amazing! The moon was out as well and reflected off the opposite side of the water. It was one of those moments were everyone just stopped and took a second to enjoy nature’s beauty. That was a memory we will never forget!
