While in Rome, we decided to take a day and explore the Vatican City! I am SO glad we did! We saw St. Peters Basilica, La Pieta, St. Peters Square, the Sistine Chapel, and the Vatican Gardens. It was a day to appreciate art, architecture, and the beauty of the past. I am amazed at the detail and what was accomplished back in the day!
