We decided to rent a car in Nice and drive to Marseille. On our way there we stopped at vineyards, a couple nude beaches, and a Mcdonalds to finally get some ice in our drinks. When we arrived, Derek and Traci booked us a room at the most extravagant hotel in the city!! It seriously was incredible! It was on top of the hill and overlooked the entire city. After putting down our bags, we went for a walk along the ocean front, and explored some fun ships and fortresses. We had dinner right in the pier, and I ordered the most delicious sampler plate. When the night came to an end we were so excited to sleep in the most comfortable beds! The next morning we woke up early and went for a swim in the hotels luxurious pools. We had the most extravagant breakfast buffet on a patio that overlooked the waterfront and the city. After breakfast we packed up our things to catch an afternoon flight to Hungary, but not before visiting the Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde, which overlooked the Chateau d’If (for all the Count of Monte Cristo lovers.)
