Josh’s Old Stomping Grounds

Prague, Czech Republic

I woke up this morning to the best surprise ever! My husband sleeping next to me! We were finally together again! Woot Woot! We decided not to waste any time and woke up early to go explore! Josh served his mission here so we got around easily and he knew all the ins and outs of the city! We took the subway close to Charles Bridge and visited his church meetings building and places he stayed! One of the subways had THE LONGEST escalator ever! It went on for at least 10 minutes!

After visiting his mission sites, we decided to go on the typical tourist route! He took me on this beautiful hike with a perfect view of the city!

We then ventured to the beautiful Prague Castle! It was so amazing! I couldn’t believe he served here!

I felt like I was in some medieval movie! The buildings, the river, the castle, it was perfect.

Once we finished exploring the castle, we ventured over to Charles Bridge! The Charles Bridge is breath taking and is such a famous site! All along the bridge were statues, vendors and entertainers. It was so nice just to walk through it! Beautiful! At the center of the Bridge, there is a statue called the Golden Hirsch. This is a “lucky” symbol. It is said you will receive luck if you rub it! So we definitely were excited to do that!

At this point in the day we were getting hungry! With this said, Josh had to expose me to a very Czech meal! We went to this café in town and had Svickova and Vepro Knedlo Zelo! It was surprisingly amazing food! Really really delicious! For dessert, we finished it off with Ovoce Knedliky! (it was cute there was an old man sitting next to us who fell asleep while eating! Such a cutie!)

After a fun day of exploring Prague, we had to rush back to the hotel to meet up with the group! I feel so blessed that I was able to experience a little bit of such a big part of my husband’s life! It was such a fun, bonding experience! I LOVE Prague!
