Back to Medieval Times

Antwerp, Belgium

After Dusseldorf, we departed for the land of waffles and chocolate, BELGIUM! We were so excited! We packed all of our stuff on the bus and headed out! Being stuck on a bus with a bunch of Nitro athletes is definitely entertaining to say the least! Bottles of wine and a couple of “worm tequilas” later we had a pretty lively bunch! Josh, Gavin and I just sat back and got a kick out of observing and mingling with everyone! When we finally made our way into Belgium territory, we stopped at Jimmy Verburch’s house (a cool Moto man) and had an amazing lunch. They served us round sandwiches the size of my head! They were delicious!

When we were all done stuffing our faces, Jimmy took us to his house and in his backyard there was a track, jumps and foam pit set up! It was a really sweet hang out! Along with everything on Nitro, they had to take this experience to another level and decided to dress everyone up in medieval clothing and have a race!

It was freezing outside, so the race didn’t last too long, but I was getting a kick out of watching it from the sidelines! After the race, someone dared Trevor to back flip into a dirty, wet foam pit, and he decided to take that challenge! Everyone thought he would crash because we didn’t think he had done it before, but he landed it perfect! In a way we were all pretty bummed out because watching him crash into a massive pit of dirty foam and water seemed pretty entertaining! Good for him though! Shortly after we boarded the bus and decided to venture to our hotel here in Belgium! So far Belgium has been a treat!
