Tonight’s show in Auckland was amazing. The boys killed it! We did have one scare though! The wind was pretty rough so all the BMX boys were coming up short on the landing! Some (Dusty) barely made the landing! He was going down on the boogie board and the wind caught the board like a sail and shot him into the air straight up instead of across! He ditched the board and jumped for the landing, barely catching onto the edge with his hands! So sketchy! Another risky experience, Ethen and Josh were jumping the double trike (as usual) and the crowd’s reaction was priceless! They had done this trick many times before so it wasn’t a huge deal for them this night considering nothing ever went wrong before. This time, however, when they went down the ramp, not one, but BOTH wheels cracked and shot off the double trike! Ahhh! They didn’t get enough speed to make the landing, so they ditched the trike and fell to the pads 15 feet below! Yikes! If that isn’t bad enough, the firework attached to the back of the trike went off upside down and shot out at Josh and Ethen as they fell! When they both walked away from this scene, the crowd loved it but it sure was a scare for me as well as the rest of the crew! Those boys were lucky! Someone was definitely looking out for them!
